The sun’s out, adventure awaits, so grab a bag or two and let’s head on a road trip to none other than Lake Havasu!!!
This is the time when I get the urge to get out of town and explore new places. There are plenty of choices within a few hours drive from Vegas, so we can have a quick escape for a day or two. It’s fun to change things up and really see everything that’s around us. I’m taking advantage of this now because if not now, then when?!
This is why I’m starting a road trip series. It’s just the beginning of what’s to come. We’ll get to see and explore new places together while I share with you what I wear on the road and what I bring to make it a stylish success! Who’s EXCITED? Also, I’ll get lots of practice driving on the freeway since it terrifies me a bit (actually a lot). hahaha!

One of the main reasons we wanted to visit Lake Havasu, Arizona is to see the famous London Bridge, which was relocated all the way from England. How cool is that? Lake Havasu is also a great choice because the drive from Las Vegas is only two hours and a half. That’s pretty doable for our schedules, it fits perfectly into the plan.
We ended up staying one night at the Island Suites. I highly recommend staying at this hotel because it’s close to the state beaches, the London Bridge and all the fun summer activities.
It gets busy at Lake Havasu during holiday weekends (and also they bump up the hotel prices), so if you want some family quiet time I recommend visiting during the week like we did. We arrived Tuesday morning and then left Wednesday afternoon. It was just the kind of peace we needed!

It’s pretty hot in Lake Havasu, but no worries as there are many ways to cool off on the water. You can easily rent a kayak, paddleboard, jet ski or a boat. Personally I love to have a swim whenever I can, so thankfully the water was nice and warm!
My favorite part is of course the London Bridge and the whole area around it. There are cute restaurants overlooking the water. We went to eat at a restaurant called The Chair, and they had beautiful live music playing throughout the evening as we enjoyed dinner and drinks on the terrace.
It’s a great location to explore by foot, and I loved walking the path around the London Bridge during the night and day. At nighttime the lights reflecting the water are stunning. During the day, it’s fun to see everyone having a good time under the clear blue skies. It feels as if time stops for awhile!!!

To satisfy your coffee craving, there is a super cute pink place (you can’t miss it) called Hav a Craving, right across from The Chair restaurant. They have lots of yummy sweets, ice-cream and delicious coffee. Wake up for sunrise, grab a coffee and stroll around that area. It’s magical in ways that are indescribable!

Have you already been to Lake Havasu? If so, what was your experience like?

Oh how fun to do road trips on the regular. Lake Havasu looks so fun, so much to do. The Chair cafe looks like a great place to dine. And the bridge WOW, I was thinking it reminded me of the bridges in Paris and could not believe it came all the way from London, so COOL!
