Seasons come and go, and each summer is one of the easiest seasons to style. Think about it…you don’t have to layer piece after piece of clothing. This is the season to travel because you can fit the most outfits in your luggage! I find that for summer travels my carry-on luggage is more than enough. During the fall/winter you may need hats, coats, boots, sweaters and jeans, which take a lot of space. Yep, I prefer summer styling, and mostly the hot weather, because it gives me all the HAPPY feels!!!😁

Who here is fond of traveling in style? It’s so much FUN! I think I have gotten the hang of it and can easily say that I have my go-to summer pieces. I pack them every time! Let me tell you all about them.

1.BIKER SHORTS

Who else is eager to ditch their long jeans for something more stretchy and comfy like biker shorts when summer hits? Meeeee! I have worn biker shorts for years now, and I always pack a few pairs with me. I like to style them with oversized t-shirts for any hikes we end up adventuring on. Also, they’re so comfy when roaming around a new city all day long. We can’t miss the fact that biker shorts are a great choice for long airplane trips or road trips. I can’t picture anything better than that!

No matter if you’re a sneaker or heel type of girl, biking shorts work with both. You can switch it up every time. I usually wear mine with sneakers because I’m in LOVE with that effortless athleisure style. The one where you didn’t try, but you kind of did, because you look BOMB! hahaha!😂

Whenever I wear my grey cycling shorts, I let the top be bright and colorful. For example, I would throw on a colorful t-shirt or sweatshirt just because I like that contrast. Some days I go completely monochrome, matching the color of my shorts with my top. That’s another really fun way to style your biker shorts.

I feel like this simple piece of clothing allows me to focus more on the accessories and the vibe of the exact look I’m going after.

2. WHITE BUTTON DOWN SHIRT

Another an absolute must-have item for me when packing is the classy button down shirt. No matter the occasion, this piece of clothing can add that WOW factor to your outfit. Anything from a beach day to a night out, it can make magic happen… Just make sure it’s clean! hahaha!

When on vacation, I enjoy wearing my white button down shirt as a cover-up. It looks very chic on top of a swimsuit, swaying in the summer breeze. Add your fedora hat, sunglasses and you’ll be unforgettable. Top it off with a red lipstick, and free drinks will start coming your way! hahaha!

As night time hits and we are getting ready for dinner, I am reaching for that same white button down shirt. I like tying it around my waist on top of a nice dress, or with a cute crop top and skirt. It will compliment whatever you’re feeling!

There are so many looks utilizing this single piece of clothing as your main character. It will turn into a whole telenovela. LOL!

3. DRESSES

I’m sure when you read the title of this post, the first thing that came to mind is dresses. They’re the definition of summer with the endless vibrant colors and cuts. I find all of them unique in their own way. Whether it’s ruffles, bell sleeves, lacey straps or bigger than life prints, you can’t forget them.

I have so many memories of dresses I have worn on different travels. It’s insane in the most beautiful way! Sometimes, I don’t want to get rid of a dress because it brings me back to that same location. Ayyy nostalgia is real!

I love that dresses just like biker shorts are super easy to pack. No matter how long they are, I roll them up into a burrito and place them inside my suitcase. (Don’t Eat!) If traveling to a cooler location, grab a pair of black tights or leggings. This way you can still wear your favorite dress!

4. MATCHING TWO PIECE SETS

When the top and bottom match it’s a match made in heaven! (at least in my head)🤣 

For so many reasons two-piece sets are ideal for summer. One, they are already styled perfectly, it’s easier! Two, there are so many awesome designs. Three, they tend to be light and breathable. Four, you can always pair the top or bottom of your favorite set with something different. Five, monochromatic looks are always dear to my heart. 💕

Also, two-piece sets are “a must-pack” item for your summer getaway. So many tropical prints, shades and feminine styles to choose from. Do you have a favorite set you own? Yep, I’m obsessed with matching sets! I can style them countless ways and I go straight for a favorite set on those days when I feel I have nothing to wear!
