Brighton Travel Outfits You’ll Love

Brighton is for Everyone mural in The Lanes, Brighton UK — colorful street art with sun, ocean waves, and the Royal Pavilion design, symbolizing the city’s inclusive seaside culture.

Like this sign says, “Brighton is for everyone” so let’s transport ourselves to one of the most charming coastal towns in the UK! From ocean views to cozy cafes and vintage shops, Brighton is full of energy and charm at every turn. I was so happy I got to explore like a true local this time around, since we stayed here longer.

To get to Brighton, we took a one-hour train ride from London. This makes it the perfect weekend escape for anyone craving a little sunshine (or seaside rain!) hahaha! I’ve heard that’s what many Londoners do and honestly, I don’t blame them.

In my last post, I shared the street-style looks I wore in London, so if you’ve missed it, you can click here. But today, it’s all about Brighton fashion! That means cozy layers, playful colors, and those rainy-day adventures that made every moment feel special. Showers were a regular thing while we were there, so you’ll spot me with an umbrella in almost every photo. hahaha! I loved it! It was another excuse to layer up, stay warm, and play in the rain.

I’m curious to know…if you live in Brighton, what are summers like? I can only imagine how lively the city must get with everyone strolling along the Brighton Pier. I’d love to come back during the warmer months because I’m sure it’s even more bright and happy. What are your favorite things to do in Brighton during summer? I’d love to hear your recommendations for my next visit!

Cozy Coastal Layers: My First Brighton Outfit

Traveler wearing a blue corduroy jacket, plaid pants, and beanie posing at the iconic Brighton Bandstand on the seafront promenade, a famous landmark in Brighton, England.

This was the first outfit I wore in Brighton. You really can’t go wrong with a denim jacket like this one. It’s lined with that soft, cozy shearling inside, which kept me warm and comfortable all day long. I’m also obsessed with the colors in this look…the soft neutrals, and that pop of purple from my scarf tied everything together so effortlessly. It felt like the perfect mix of comfort and style for a chilly Brighton day by the sea. Bonus points for my pants matching the tiles!

I’ve always been someone who depends on accessories to make my look, not the other way around. When I travel, I pack as many hats, scarves, and gloves as I can fit in my suitcase. They’re my go-to essentials for creating that perfect wintry look.

The two photos above were taken right by the Brighton Bandstand, one of the city’s most iconic spots along the seafront. Fun fact…our hotel, the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel, was right across from it! I highly recommend staying there if you want to be right in the heart and soul of Brighton’s beach scene. Waking up to those ocean views and being steps away from this beautiful pavilion made the experience even more amazing.

Cozy Winter Outfit Inspiration at the Brighton Beach Huts

Can you tell I have a thing for red roses? This cozy cardigan was the perfect way to brighten up a cloudy, gloomy day in Brighton. Plus, wearing red always lifts my mood. I love how this color brings warmth and joy, especially against England’s gray skies. This look felt extra fun with the little details that tie everything together!

If you’re visiting the UK during winter, I can’t recommend waterproof boots enough. You’ll notice I’m wearing the same pair in almost every outfit from this trip. That’s because they completely saved my feet from getting soaked during those unexpected rain showers. Stylish and practical is always the goal when I travel!

And how cute is this outfit against the colorful Brighton beach huts? I’ve always wanted to see them in person. They’re such a Brighton landmark in my eyes! Adding the perfect pop of color along the seafront and making every stroll by the beach feel cheerful.

Brighton Winter Outfit at the Royal Pavilion

The final outfit I’m sharing from my trip to Brighton was worn while exploring The Lanes and the Royal Pavilion. This winter outfit is all about layering smartly for the chilly coastal weather. I’m wearing a light gray turtleneck bodysuit, which is one of my favorite travel layering essentials. It’s so easy to style under coats, vests, or blazers. I even own it in white, which I’m sure you’ll spot in my upcoming Edinburgh style looks.

The blazer vest is a fun piece because it’s actually the first time I’ve styled it for winter. I love how this look came together; effortlessly chic yet comfortable enough for a full day of adventures.

Looking back, I can’t help but smile at how Brighton brought out such a playful side of my style. Even with the cloudy skies and rain, the city’s colorful charm and seaside energy made dressing up so much fun. Each outfit felt like a little reflection of Brighton itself…cozy, bright, and full of personality. I’m already dreaming about coming back, hopefully in the summer. I want to experience even more of what this beautiful coastal town has to offer.
