I’m so excited for the New Year! (Ahhhh lots of special events will be happening in 2024!) Less than 2 weeks to go, I can’t wait! What are your plans for New Years Eve?
If you’ve got a party to go to, then this post is here to help you make a final decision on your show-stopping outfit. I’m going to dive right into all the best festive fabrics to make for one memorable time. These are some of my favorites to wear when I want look and feel extravagant, and with the holidays nearing so fast it just seems right to dress your BEST and SHINE ON!
Are you ready?
Both sequins and glitter have that dazzling effect we want on a night when we count down the minutes until the New Year. You can’t go wrong with either fabric!
I definitely like to go ALL OUT and dress-up to the MAX..! because it really does make a difference in putting my best foot forward for the NEW YEAR. It’s my way of saying I’m here, and I’m ready for all the new adventures that await! Also, dancing in sequins/glitter adds a whole new dimension to our midnight dance moves. Trust me hahaha!
I recently got this new deep green glittery stunner, which I’m so EXCITED to wear on New Years Eve. I tried it out once, and even though the glitter falls everywhere I go (the whole house was covered in it), I’m still so in LOVE with this dress. I really like the fit, the long sleeves, the unique color and of course the endless sparkles.
Really what other days are you going to dress-up in sequins/glitter? It’s not like something we reach for every day, so I think this is the one night you should go for it one hundred percent. Have no fear, let your sequins/glitter shine!
I wore this gold and black sequins dress a few years ago, and it really is so much fun and one of the best fabrics to wear for a party. I do like adding tights to my winter looks because they keep me warmer and make the whole outfit more stylish. Wearing tights is one of the top things I definitely look forward to once summer comes to an end, along with hats.
Do you want to feel like a princess?
Princesses wear tulle! It’s the fabric of love and more love. hahaha. No wonder wedding veils and lots of wedding dresses are covered in tulle. It adds a beautiful touch of romance and volume. It’s magical!
Without a doubt, I think you can pull off a dress like one of these at a New Years Eve Party. They’re so fun! Just imagine the fabric dancing away into the disco lights. I can clearly picture the whole scene. Also, if you dream of getting married one day in a tulle dress you can fantasize about your dream wedding. A fun and easy way to manifest it into your life! Yep, you’re welcome! (I’m a life coach too!) hahaha!
Velvet is the most luscious fabric, which speaks softly without being too loud. A single piece of velvet clothing can make you look so sophisticated, and it’s another winning option for the New Years Eve. I have a few velvet dresses that I’m sure I’ll still wear in ten years. It’s the kind of fabric I’m never EVER going to get tired of. How about you?
Call me crazy, but when wearing a velvet staple, even my most inexpensive jewelry pieces start feeling like a million bucks. It must be the ongoing magic of this luxurious drape!
Velvet fabric also excites me in the form of boots and bags. I have this grey pair of boots I can’t get enough of. Literally one of my BEST purchases! Not only because I love them, but also after many wears they’re still in great shape.
The glossiest and smoothest of them all, this fabric is to die for… Satin! I love how light it feels, like a breeze passing through your hair. The kind of feeling every woman finds empowering. Every time I wear my satin dress, I feel unstoppable!
My absolute favorite satin dress style is one with a leg slit and an open back, no matter how many options I find. Don’t forget, this is a delicate fabric, and can be challenging to take care of. For example, it’s best to handwash (in cold water) and air dry.
Satin is a perfect choice for any New Years Eve party! Just don’t spill any drinks on it while you’re having fun because that might be your first and last time wearing the dress. Ayyy I’m telling you this from experience! I blame it on the alcohol! hahaha!
Which fabric will you be welcoming 2024 in?
